The Effect of carboplatin on the haemopoietic system is stronger and last longer in patients with restricted renal function than in patients with normal renal function.
The treatment with Carboplatin Infusion has to take place under special cautions for this risk group (see sub-section "patients with impaired renal function" in section 3).
Control of the renal function and neurologic examination should take place regularly.
The renal function could be restricted due to age.
Carboplatin 400 mg/m2 body surface area (BSA) given as an intravenous short time infusion (15-60 minutes) for not pre-treated adults with normal renal function.
